Robert Segarra Message Board

Brenda posts on 7/27/2012 6:07:32 PM Still waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra has that certain flair, honesty and humor that you don't see alot of these days. From the beginning to the end it walks to the beat of a different drum.
Pamela posts on 7/26/2012 6:21:35 PM I loved this book to death. I thought Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra was a very well balanced book. It had a little bit of something for everyone - and those bits that I am talking about were extremely well written and amazingly true to life. The characters and their dialogue seem to leap off the page. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to have a life altering experience through good literature!
Jess posts on 7/26/2012 6:16:33 PM Jane Whitley is my idol. Most people today find their idols in reality shows, which I think is ridiculous, because those are not real in any sense of the word, and they are not inspirational. But I've found Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra to be more inspirational and more encouraging than anything I have ever seen on TV or read in contemporary literature.

Robyn posts on 7/25/2012 5:05:15 PM I loved everything about Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra. I loved the characters, the settings, the situations and the subplots. I loved the descriptions of everything that this book encompassed. I will be reading this one again, of that you can be sure.
Glenda posts on 7/25/2012 4:58:40 PM Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra was one of the most positive books I've ever read. Even when life handed Jane lemons, she made lemonade, and I think that's an important way to be. What would happen if we all just collapsed each time things didn't go our way? I think this book teaches us an important lesson - never give up, keep fighting the good fight.
Emma posts on 7/24/2012 6:16:50 PM This was one of the most touching and romantic books I have read in years. Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra reminded me of the best of The Thorn Birds and The Bridges Of Madison County, if those books were synthesized together. I wish someone would make a movie out of this one. I am sure it would be entertaining beyond belief.
Leah posts on 7/24/2012 6:11:43 PM Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra had some of the most romantic elements I have read in a long time commercially. It is almost as if writers today have forgotten that people feel love....we are like robots otherwise - without feeling. Thankfully someone remembers that we do have emotions and that we do have touching moments.
Gabriella posts on 7/23/2012 6:16:40 PM Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra is the sleeper of the year. I'm sure nobody expected it to be as good as it is. Maybe that's why none of the major publishers picked it up. But it's their loss and our gain as readers. We got the book regardless of their possible reluctance to recognize just how good it is.
Vicky posts on 7/23/2012 6:12:26 PM If I were a publishing executive at any publishing house in America now, I'd be trying to figure out a way to get the reprint rights to Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra. Especially after the Thorn Birds actors reunion recently. Obviously there is alot of interest in this genre.
Millie posts on 7/22/2012 2:20:49 PM I never thought I would enjoy reading a romance book as much as I enjoyed reading Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra, though I don't think this book is specifically romance. It has so many other fantastic elements that would clealy put it in a more mainstream category. In any case, this book had me spellbound from the start.
