posts on 8/27/2006 5:31:28 AM I was very complimented when someone compared my writing to LaVyrle Spenser's. Thank you! I learned a lot from reading her wonderful books. Anna Jacobs
posts on 8/23/2006 4:25:22 AM Has anyone read any of Anna Jacobs novels? Am i alone in thinking that they have a similar style to Lavyrles??Honest,i am no traitor, I did read all Lavyrles first!

posts on 8/10/2006 5:07:14 PM Mary- here are the titles of 6 other books-Lavyrle's last ones! November of the heart, Family Blessings, Home Song,That Camden Summer, Small Town Girl, and Then Came Heaven. In the book Then Came Heaven, LaVyrle writes how this story though fiction is based on her Parent's relationship. She also writes in there that this is her last book and she is retiring after 21 years-this was April 22, 1997. I keep thinking (or hoping) she will come out of retirement and have all the books she just couldn't help writing! That would be so awesome to me! Hope she knows no one can ever take her place in my eyes!

posts on 8/7/2006 2:49:53 PM If you go to your local library you can request Spencer's movies. If your local library does not have the movies they should be able to request the movies from nearby libraries. I watched "Morning Glory" and just finished reading the book.
posts on 8/7/2006 12:07:06 PM I have read all of Lavyrle Spencer's books and would like to see the movies that were made from her books. I can't find a place to purchase any of her movies in either VHS or DVD format. Any suggestions?
posts on 8/6/2006 9:07:13 PM Could I have a complete list of Lavyrle Spencer's books? They are the greatest. I know LaVyrle is not writing anymore but I would like to know if I have missed anything. Couldn't she come out of retirement and send us someting of value to think about?? She is absolutely the greatest, of course, with the other thought provoking author, Maeve Binchy. Thank you for anything you can offer to me. Francina Collins
