Yolanda Salazar posts on 8/14/2008 5:28:37 PM I have never been much of a reader but when I started reading these books I just could't put them down. They are so inspirational and I have the utmost respect for Dave Pelzer because he is a survivor and an exceptional individual that inspite of the horrible life he had while growing up, he still had the valor of becoming such an exemplary and inspirational human being.
Anonymous posts on 8/13/2008 9:58:41 PM What a great man you are to have over come all the pain and hurt and learn to love and trust again although it took time and someone special. You truley are the lucky one to have survived and the way you want to help others. I read your 3 books inless than a week,I cried, then thought to myself how much I love my children and my parents how they love me. Well done David!
Donna posts on 8/11/2008 5:46:30 PM I have read the 1st two books of Dave Pelzers, A child called "it" and The Lost Boy. Both were very sad and sometimes made me cry. i'm only 17 but loved the books, I just can't understand why a mother could do that. i was just glad you got when you did.
Leila Majeed posts on 8/10/2008 4:23:54 PM I have read the first two books in the biography series, i have cried and cant wait to rush into my local bookstore and get the final book. What an inspirational man you are, to have come from where you have and achieved what you have. Bravo I hope one day people will stop abusing children and communities will help the children. I now have realised just how important foster families are to society and would one day like to become a foster parent myself. Thank you, Mr Pelzer for sharing your secret story with the world.
Terri posts on 7/25/2008 2:06:25 PM I have read his books called IT and a boy named David, and it was so real to me I totally understood how it made him feel.I have two daughters and I would never do that to them or to any human being what was done to David, my daughter also read the books and made her cry, Thank you for sharing your book with us, for some of us it is nice to know we are not alone out there when all is said at the end of the day I feel like No one else understands what was done to children, david , myself and many others like him have been abused by ones we loved and trusted, Thanks for speaking out about this topic.
