i love your book so much im still on A MAN NAMED DAVE, but so far i love it. i dont think any boy should be treated the way u were. HAVE A HAPPY LIFE!!!

hi, im 12 years old,and i have read your second book and i am now reading the first. i love them all. i just want to wish you a VERY happy life. i can not believe some of the things she has done to you. you were always a very good boy even if she didn't think so. i wish you the world!

Dear Dave,
I have read your first two books and I love your style of writing and your passion to live. I have found so much comfort in knowing that when you choose to survive you can achieve anything. My life is not so different from yourself and I made a promise to make my life better and I have achieved it. I can not wait to start reading 'A man named Dave'.

i have read all three of your books about your life..i work with children everyday and often wonder if someone maybe going through the same ordeal. i was very touched by your bravery and most of all your forgivness for what you went through. i will admire you and for what you have become forever.
your books remain etched in my heart.

i red A Child called it and The Story Of A Young Boy.i cryed through the whole story i cant imagine any mother doing such a horrible thing to there child.i wish that your father was there for u and i no he wanted to but just like you he was scared.i glad everything is all rite and i share your story with all of my friend cus it is now my favorite book

Im currently about finish reading A Man Named Dave, im on the 4th or 5th chapter...great! sad! love it!

I read your book "a child called it" which was amazing what some people would do to their OWN CHILD. It blew me away. I'm really glad that you had the strength and power to fight through it. If it were me I probably would have considered suicide. Way to go! I am going to read your other books too. I was 13 when i read your book.

I read the book The child called it. I couldnt believe how anyone could do that to their child. I was readin the book one night and got to a part and didnt want to read anything else but i did and i am glad i did. Your book has made me realize that not all people have a good life. I am 14 and i read the book because everyone kept telling me about it so i read it for myself and now i am going to read the lost boy and a child called david. you should come in and talk to a school about the books and what it was like than people will understand better. did you ever find out what happen to your mom or why she did the things she did. please e-mail me back.
