Lou Anne posts on 4/18/2008 11:06:45 PM Dear David, I have just finished your first book and spent most of the time crying. I am so sorry that you had to spend your childhood like that, but I do believe that we are only given as much as we can take. You are being used now in a way that only could have happened by going through what you did, and what an "honor" that you were "chosen" to be this messanger. I felt so blessed to read that you feel so grateful for your life and are not wallowing in self-pity. Thank you for sharing your painful past with us.
Kaitlyn posts on 4/15/2008 9:27:49 PM I have to say that these are incredible books. I read his first, and I loved it. I don't understand something, though. You and your brothers seem to have different stories as to what happened in your childhood. The stories clash; how can we tell what the truth is? I'm just a bit confused...but they really are good books.

Betty posts on 4/3/2008 11:41:31 AM God Bless You! I was told about your book through a friend. I was so touched by your words, courage and the fight to stay alive. I had my 11 year old daughter read it and when she finished she came and gave me the biggest, strongest hug a daughter could give a mother. Your son is very lucky to have a great forgiving and loving father like you despite what you have been through.
BRIANA posts on 3/31/2008 9:28:39 AM Hey i think you are really cool and when me and my class read your book i cried because it was so sad and i felt so bad for you. I could realate to your story alot because my friend Kelsie was and stil is getting beat by her dad and i fell so bad for her but i dont no what to do
lisa wright posts on 3/28/2008 12:38:04 PM i have finished the 1st book he wrote. God's hand was on him the whole time cause Dave lived to tell his story. The scripture comes to mind weeping only last for the night, but joy comes in the morning. the Lord's prayer he prayed, and ended with deliver us from evil, well God did. Dave kept his thoughts in his head and never one time hit his mother even though she did these horrible things to him. God has a reward and stars in his crown. Dave, I hope you are a christian today. I saw the picture of your son. He's a handsome little man. I'm so glad you lived to be able to be a parent. Thank you for telling your story. Can't wait to read the 2nd.
