Lesley posts on 12/31/2006 1:40:07 AM I truly enjoyed reading your book. It would make a great movie one day. I cannot imagine the horror that you went through. All the best for 2007.
stacy posts on 12/29/2006 11:35:18 PM Dave i read your book A Child Called It and was in tears over your sufferings. I was shocked that a mother could do that to her son. I knew child abuse existed, i just never knew it was that bad. It was brave of you to write the book.
Emma Griffiths-uk posts on 12/26/2006 7:11:54 PM Dave... Im from UK and just wanted to say how much you have helped people and made sure people dont have to suffer in silence! All the best for future life. Emma
maria posts on 12/25/2006 9:32:36 PM hey dave, im maria.. i recently read your book a child called it. im not a very big fan of reading and very few books get my attention. over the last years i've seen students in my school reading your book. i never really had much time to read books but about a week ago i got a copy of your book and started to read..i swaer i couldnt put the book down until after i finished it.it was really interesting.. as i was reading it i thought to myself" how many more children out there suffer like this?".. your book opened my eyes to what some chose to ignore or just are not aware of.. this book is really inspiring..
Christie posts on 12/23/2006 2:22:47 AM Dave i hate it when people always say "i know how you feel" and what your going through, but they realy dont. i myself was being abused, both mentaly and phiscaly. i was adopted @ 6 weeks and @ the age of 7 my adopted fathe gained ciusity of me. he didnt allow me to have any contact withe her what so ever. During my 5th grade year both my father and step mother started abusing me for over 3 years going in and out of gardian homes and the Y.E.S center no one would belive me. I was so scared and depresed i was belimic and annerxict finally on march 17 2006 i tryied to run away agin and this time i did it :) i felt free of all my pain and that my drem could finally come true now im in a worndful foster home and my dream came true. i can finally restart my life and become a normal child with parents who honestly love her thanks to god im finally safe, wanted, loved and a true family member
jane smith posts on 12/21/2006 11:45:20 PM Dear Dave, I think that you should come on this board once in awhile just so we know that you are reading these messages..I am sorry about your life....Your mother and father were horrendious people. I came from a similar background, my brother is dead at 45 due probably to my sweet mother, who thank God is dead finally..I hope she is burning in hell...My father was like your father, he didn't want to get involved, anything to keep mom happy. jane
Terry posts on 12/21/2006 11:33:04 PM Reading your book"A Child Called It" was the catalyst for me to foster a lad who was the subject of extreme cruelty like you experienced. He came on his 15th birthday and is now 18.Incidently,his name is David too.
