Dana Taylor posts on 3/5/2005 9:42:10 PM Tildy's post below was rude. I enjoy the Mitford books greatly, but one could say the same for those books if one wanted to. Sure, the first three books could have been wrapped up in one Cape Light book . . . if they wanted it to be anywhere from 1,500 to 2,000 pages long. I feel the Cape Light books are wonderful, written in a wonderful sytle, and each book is written to help us to know each of the characters without trying to throw all their stories together in one book. It's easier to spread them out. Of course, if they had all been thrown into one book, Tildy or another Tildy somewhere would have been here to complain about that. It's human nature for some people. I would say that after the first book Tildy must not have liked it, so why bother reading anymore and then come on here complaining about them? I will never understand, if I for some reason live to be one million years old, how the human mind works that people do things like that. If I don't like a book after the first, I don't keep reading them and then complain about them. I drop it and move on. I enjoy the Cape Light books immensely and have no problem with them. I haven't been disappointed with them yet and I've read all in the series so far. The characters are very believable, and Cape Light, like Mitford, is a town I wouldn't mind living in, with people I wouldn't mind knowing and being friends with. With the exception of Lillian, of course, but I think most of us probably know at least one Lillian. Most people can relate to those in the Cape Light series just as well as we can to those in the Mitford series.

Martha posts on 1/23/2005 12:17:43 PM I just finished reading all 5 books of this series and I loved them. Is there another one coming out? I hope so.They can't come out fast enough for me. LOL I was up till 3 in the morning reading the last one, just glad I didn't have to work the next day.
Earl posts on 1/7/2005 1:41:02 PM I have been hooked from the beginning, and I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series! I would love to see a movie out of the books. Has anyone heard when the next book is coming out? My problem is that I get so involved in the book, I am done in 2 weeks, and I have to wait a few months for the next one!
yvette posts on 1/4/2005 7:16:52 PM I'm also reading the books and I just love them!! I would like to see maybe the Hallmark channel make them into a T.V series. If it was a real place I would love to live there. I'd give Lillian a piece of my mind. Ha! Ha!
