Thomas Kinkade and Katherine Spencer Message Board

Cathy posts on 1/10/2009 3:32:44 PM So true, Pearl. I also have noticed many typos and storyline errors. There is a large discrepancy in the amount of siblings of Sam and Molly. But the same is true of most books I read, especially series written over a span of years. I think sometimes the writers need to go back and read the previous story before writing another one for the sake of continuity.
Pearl posts on 1/8/2009 3:08:59 PM Two years ago I discovered this series at my local library. I read Cape Light and got about half-way through Home Song. I was immediately drawn to the storylines, characters, and the town itself. The one thing I couldn't get past, however, was the number of errors along the way: Take the leak in Jessica's apartment for example...On page 66 of Cape Light it says that she didn't feel like cleaning up a flood in her bedroom. Then on page 107 it tells us that Sam went back into the living room and checked the wall again. We're also told near the beginning of the book that the Potters have several children. One of them is even mentioned by name. I'm fairly certain that I remember reading later that they had no children. Then there are all the numerous omissions of words. Here's just one example: The first sentence on page 169 says that Dr. Elliot sniffed and pushed his spectacles up on the bridge of nose. It should have read bridge of HIS nose. Aside from these annoyances, I really enjoyed the storylines and so have decided to give them another try. Now...back to my reading!
