Thomas Kinkade and Katherine Spencer Message Board

Tracey posts on 3/22/2013 5:27:12 PM I love your novels of The Cape Light series and Angels Inn series!!! You are such a wonderful author! I hope you will never stop publishing those series of books. I have a chronic pain disease and just lost my cat of 15 years. Those two novels really help me. The love and reading about how other characters reach their faith and beliefs. Makes us, as readers, really think about our own situations and belief systems and how we can relate to others and reach out to God. It's never to late, as you have proved over and over again. Please, don't ever stop with those series! And the pictures just make the books feel even more welcoming. If you can gain access to a garden or gazebo for one of the books, that would be wonderful! May God bless you and your family! And may God bless all the readers who travel along with you!
Rosemary posts on 3/7/2013 2:04:07 PM I really enjoy both Cape Light & Angel Island books. I see where you indicated that there would be 3 more books. I only hope that when you do these last 3 books that you let them come to an end if you don't plan on doing anymore. I would hate that you add new people then we never know what happens. So I do hope you just end them. I am really going to miss these books I always looked forward at Christmas time to get a new Cape Light book then around Easter the Angel Island book.
mem13har posts on 6/26/2012 11:14:08 AM The author of the Thomas Kinkade is actually Anne Canadeo writing as Katherine Spencer. I wrote her about the same ? Will the stories continue once i located her real name. Here is her response to me: Dear Mary, Thanks for your note. To answer your questions -- Yes, I have done all the writing of these books. I was hired by a representative of Mr. Kinkade to create a fiction series that he could put his name and art work on. The town of Cape Light and the general theme of the series was insprired by his work and created to expand the message of his artwork. I had hoped that people who enjoyed his paintings would feel they had stepped into the art work and gotten to know the inhabitants of those evocative streets and houses. I also based the village of Cape Light, physically on two real locations. The first is the town where I live -- Northport, N.Y., which is a small village on the Long Island Sound, about an hour and half from New York City. The other is the village of Ipswich, in an area known as Cape Ann, which is about two hours north of Boston. I have used many town names and other landmarks of Cape Ann in the Cape Light series. It is unclear right now if the series will continue, though there will definitely be three more titles published -- Season of Angels, which will be published this coming Christmas. Another Angel Island book, to be published spring 2013 and another Cape Light Christmas book, for 2013. I hope that answers your questions. I'm very glad you've been enjoying the books and truly appreciate hearing from you. All best, Anne Canadeo I hope this helps other readers also. mem13har

Davida Grant posts on 6/21/2012 1:05:02 PM I still say that Thomas Kinkade didn't really 'write' the novels. He lent his name because he was promoting his art. The books are very well written (I found some character inconsistencies that an editor should have found) and I don't see how Thomas Kinkade contributed, literary speaking, except to maybe offer some ideas. I think that Katherine will continue to write both series (Cape Light and Angel Islan) and Kinkade's estate will decide what she does about the book jackets.
kpalmer posts on 5/29/2012 11:56:58 PM wondering if Katherine Spencer will continue to write the Cape Light and Angel Island series since Thomas KinKade has passed? Would hate to see such wonderful stories come to an end. I look forward to the enxt book every year.
Penny posts on 10/24/2010 8:49:17 PM In the Cape Light Novel where Miranda fell in love with the man who had amnesia, his real name turned out to be Eric instead of Adam. But in the following book when he and Miranda were referred to, the man she married was then called Jeff. What happened there?
Donna Camp posts on 10/8/2010 9:03:06 AM Love the series! I am currently reading A New Leaf. Wondering why Molly is looking for a highschool girl to help her with her business, yet still feels the need to get a babysitter for her own 14-year-old highschool age daughter. Who gets a babysitter for a girl of 14? No big deal, just seems a little inconsistent. Otherwise, I think the series is wonderful. Donna
aNNE CANADEO posts on 9/20/2010 1:25:11 PM To answer the question about the Christmas Cottage, that book is not connected to the "Cape Light" series and is not written by the same author who writes all the "Cape Light" and "Angel Island" books. The author's real name is Anne Canadeo and she writes inspirational fiction as Katherine Spencer. Christmas Cottage is a novelization of the movie screenplay.
TC posts on 9/16/2010 4:41:06 PM On Christmas Eve - release on 11-02-10
Charlotte Walker posts on 9/5/2010 2:58:47 PM They usually have a Christmas Book. Does anyone know when that one will be coming out and the name of it?
