Hey Lisa, I can't believe you have all the books and dvds and haven't watched them. LISA!!! seriously you have to, they are amazing. Especially once they start growing up around book four. I loved them more once it got darker. I loved the final book and I can't wait for the next movie. I used to be a fan of Stephen King also. I don't know why I stopped reading his books. I think the movies put me off. Loved them at one point, but it's like they became low budget films and just wern't the same. Although I loved The Secret Window with Johnny Depp I should buy it actually. I think the movies started getting creepy and I'm such a chicken with horror movies although I do like some but...
I haven't got Falling yet. I was so hoping it would arrive yesterday hopefully Monday. Can't wait for it.
I haven't watched Pirates I really want to, I've been told over and over to. We've had the dvds here and I haven't as yet I will one day soon as like I said I love JD as an actor. I was telling friends how long away Nemi was, everyone was devastated. It's just too far away. I just finished reading Die Softly and noticed the first chapter of LV in the back. I read it and it really makes me want to read it again big time. I'll buy the books online again as I think $15 for two is great. Anyway I've rambled enough. Oh about the boards Amy_Lee received an email about them closing. Like I said we'll have to meet at the larger boards when it happens.

Hey Gwenz! Why are they going to close this board? I don't understand that! We are using it! I will be very upset! I hope that they don't. I actually have all the HP books in hardcover sitting on my bookshelf and I have not picked a single one up yet! Isn't that terrible? I will have to start reading them and I will let you know what I think. I have heard that they are great. I also own all the movies on DVD, but I only saw the first one. I know thats terrible. When I tell people that I have all the HP books but haven't read them, people squawk at me! I know, I know. I love Stephen King, so I was busy busy reading his new book, DUMA KEY. It was good. Have you seen the movies: The Pirates of the Caribbean? I just love those movies. Are you getting your copy of FALLING tomorrow? Or is it next Friday the 15th? I hope you get it soon!

Hi Lisa, gosh 2-3 years that is ages away. Kind of unfair, actually really unfair although there probably is a marketing thing happening there. I'm really upset about that one to be honest. Wow sounds like you got more than the usual one sentence we get ha ha.
I so agree with you how could I forget Starlight Crystal & Tachyon Web not favs of mine at all. Although I did re-read the first years back and it wasn't quite as bad as I remembered. I too love his adult novels. I really need to read them again. Loved them both. As for Blind Mirror I was disapointed. More so with the end. I did re-read it and it was better the second time but still the ending didn't sit well with me. I was disappointed in it.
As for other authors I love J.K Rowling's HP books. They beat CP for me. I started late maybe three years back and by the fourth one I was so hooked. In fact I'm a bit of a HP adict lol. Brilliant films and books. My passion.
Also like Barbara Erskine totally different set in history with druids etc but I just love her books. They are sheer brilliance. I really have three favs although I have read another author of late and loved his book I'll have to find it and post the author as it reminded me a tad of Pike. Thanks for adding some spice to the boards. Amy_Lee miss your input. I think this board closes before long and we'll have to head over the the bigger fan site for Pike. I really should post more as I do so love his books.

Hey Gwenz. I e-mailed C.P. and if it is really him, he said that the spooksville series ends at #25. He also said that NEMI will be out at the same time as the first ALOSHA movie. 2-3 years. That will kill some people. But that is what he said. I still think he is the best ever. So I guess everyone will just have to wait for it!!!

Lisa posts on 2/6/2008 4:22:14 PM
Hey Gwenz. What other authors do you read? Is C.P. your favorite author? I was just wondering! Let me know.

Hey Gwenz. Thanks for writing back so quickly! My fav. books would also have to be The Last Vampire series. I just love Sita. I re-read those books at least once a year. My least fav. books are The Starlight Crystal & The Tachyon Web. I guess I am not a fan of the sci-fi. Some of it is too far out there if you know what I mean. I can't relate to it I guess. Spaceships & such! FALLING is one of his adult novels, have you read the other ones? Out of the Adult ones my fav. is probably The Cold One or maybe The Listeners. I want to re-read The Blind Mirror. I think thats what I will read next! I also loved Fall into Darkness. The first ones I read were the Dance series ...those got me hooked! What one did you read first, that got you hooked? Well when you get FALLING & you are reading it, we can talk about it, if you want. Discuss it as you go along. Hey, I may even re-read it again with you! What date are you going to recieve it? & when do you plan on actually reading it? Let me know!

I'm really looking forward to reading Falling now checked my emails and it's in the post to me so I should have it in a couple of days. Can't wait. Have to make sure I'm on my own, easier said than done. I'm just on the other side of 30 yes I know I'm probably the oldie of the boards but just lol. I've read Pike books for gosh so long I can't even remember now. I have a ten year old little girl who loves Pike kiddy books of course she just loved Spooksville series and Alsoha etc. she's as bad as me. She's too young for the teen ones. We read Alosha etc. together and we both cried and laughed we were quite a sight ha ha. So can't wait for Nemi although I think it will be awhile sadly. My fav. book seriously that's really hard just when I think I know my fav. book I re-read one and love it more. If I had to choose it would probably be LV series. I so loved them and The Dance series but I also loved Witch, Die Softly which I just re-read the past couple of days and Alosha I just loved it had everything I love fantasy mythical fairies and was so full of surprises, wit, suspense it had me spellbound. I think the one I liked the least was The Grave for some reason it really disturbed me. I put it down for months before I picked it up again. Oh I also loved Remember me that was amazing. What about you what are your favs and why.

Hey Gwenz! You'll like FALLING. I thought it was one of his better books. Its very hard to put down once you start reading it! On the cover of my copy, one of the reviews of the book says: Literary crack cocaine. Isn't that funny???? But that is SO true! Its addictive! So I suggest you sit down and read it when you have some time. Its better read all at once and not broken up. Keeps the suspense going. You'll LOVE it, don't worry! By the way, I asked before, if you don't mind...how old are you? You never told me! I am just curious. What is your Fav. book by him? Why? What books have you NOT read of his?? Let me know.

Hey Lisa, no I didn't know Sita meant that very interesting. I really need to re-read the LV series. I loved them. I missed out on book five never found it. I need to find a couple on ebay and then read them all at once, sounds great. I will let you know what I think of Falling, it's been moved back until the 6th but that's not too long. Can't wait to read it. Without giving anything away what would you rate it.
