Janet Evanovich Message Board

LV posts on 3/1/2008 9:03:53 PM Hi everyone! I read Plum Lucky and thought it was okay. I'm not a big fan of the Between-the-Numbers books, but they do give a few hours of escape to Plum Land. The scene with Lula spilling the money in the casino had me laughing really hard! I thought it was interesting that JE had Stephanie and Joe still sleeping together in the opening, and she later tells Diesel, "I have a boyfriend, and I don't mess around." That was a similar direction I thought she took those two in LMT. I wonder if she'll continue that in FF? Anyway, the first excerpt from Fearless Fourteen has been posted today on Janet's website.
Plum Fun posts on 2/28/2008 9:16:13 AM Hello CA, Good to hear from you. I check the site often but there really hasn't been much going on. I loved Plum Lucky but I really like JE's crazy stuff. Not much to think about just sit back and enjoy a comedy. Yesterday I bought Naughty Neighbor - can't wait to read it. In the meantime I have found a new author that is at the other end of the chart from JE. It is Kim Harrison. She writes about demons, witches and all that. You have to think while reading but I do enjoy them. She has crazy titles that make me think of Clint Eastwood. Like I said they are a far cry from the Plum books and In Death books which I love so much. Strangers in Death just came out. I ordered it from TTP Bookstore which will have NR aka JDR sign it. This book I had sent to my mother. Since it was near Valentine's Day I had her sign it Happy Valentin's Day and she did. My mom was very happy. Are you reading the In Death series. I have been with her on this for about 12 years just like JE and the Plum series. I haven't heard anything about 14 - where do people get info about a book that hasn't come out. I see on writer's websites all the time "spoilers here". How can there be spoilers if the book hasn't been released? If anyone knows please fill me in.
CA posts on 2/24/2008 10:13:26 PM I actually had some free time on my hands tonight and thought I would check in and see what everyone thought of the last book and novella. Its been such a long time that I almost forgot the name of this site. Can you imagine. Not many comments lately. Are we all losing interest or just waiting for that next book that will give us something to talk about. Im looking forward to Fearless in June and hoping that Janet has been inspired to continue the story with a bit more creative energy this time around. Has anyone heard any buzz on Fearless.

Plum Fun posts on 2/8/2008 10:23:20 AM I loved Plum Lucky too. But I never find real fault with this series. The back and forth with Ranger/Joe is always fun too. She tries to see a future with them and can't quite do it. Janet probably doesn't see the end yet either but then again maybe she does. Where does she get these ideas!!! A horse was bad enough but add the elevator and the shower gel and man was I happy. The books no matter how silly make me happy. Just when I think she can't top the crazyness that is Plum she does it again. Can't wait for Fearless!!!!
Go Ranger! posts on 2/7/2008 10:03:24 PM I loved Plum Lucky, there wasn't as much between Steph and Desiel this time though (as compared to Plum Lovin'). I wish there was more Ranger everywhere, though I love how they cleaned up Doug, the horse, with Ranger shower gel! I was laughing for a while about it. I think in 14 we will see a bigger connection between Steph and Joe, possibly some kind of attempt at a real commitment again, which of course I'm hoping will lead to Stephanie realizing that she can't commit to Joe and have a bit of a repeat of Hard Eight! What can I say, I love Ranger!
Phonerec posts on 2/7/2008 7:12:21 PM Joe and Ranger are almost never in the "between the numbers" books. Plum Lucky was good tho. Got to love Grandma!
debbie posts on 2/6/2008 1:36:51 AM I just finished Plum Lucky, it was good, but Morelli and Ranger were barely in it.
TLC posts on 2/2/2008 8:54:17 AM Has anyone read Plum Lucky? I haven't yet, but plan too. Is there any good tid bit of info regarding Steph's love life in there?
Phonerec posts on 12/1/2007 4:37:46 PM Hey all, I just found out about this site. I've read everything Janet has put out, and I love it all! I want to be Grandma Mazur when I grow up! I also read mention of the In Death books by J.D. Robb. Those are tied with Janet's books for things that are a must have for me. I get them on the day they come out. I love all the couples, Eve and Roarke, Peabody and McNabb, Charles and Louise. Charles and Louise surpised me most. Anyway, back to Steph, I hope she never decides between Joe and Ranger, she has such chemistry with both of them! Deb
Greg posts on 10/28/2007 3:06:55 AM Being a guy, I really like this girl's work! The tenth one is my fave so far. All of her characters are fantastic! Just wanna' say, Keep 'em comin'!
